Backyard Baseball 2001 is back and on Steam, Mobile and likely coming to Console here soon. There will be older players returning and newer ones wanting to learn the ropes. To help you, we are answering your biggest questions. So here is a Backyard Baseball 2001 Player Tier List to help you decide on which players you should use.
Below is our Backyard Baseball 2001 Player Tier List. This is based on not just the stats you can see but the secret stats that are behind the scenes. If you want to know more on that, click here. Beyond that this is from an experienced player who has poured in too many hours on Backyard Baseball. While some are good statistically they are not as great or maybe better than those statistics say once you get out on the field.

There have been teasers and rumors of new games coming out ever since Playground Productions bought the rights to the franchise.
They may not be saying it directly, but it feels like they are working on new games as these older ones find their way to Steam. As they work their way through getting player and team rights, the obstacles will continue to go down, one by one. After that, we should expect new versions of the classic games to release even as early as 2026.
It will be interesting to see how they end up doing stats. Will it be the same way that we see above or will it be even more complex moving forward? Either way, Backyard Sports are finally back and we could not be happier.
