Apex Legends Firing Range Rework

The newest Apex Season is bringing new legends, updates, and features. One of those features is the Apex Legends Firing Range rework.

Firing Range

The firing range will be undergoing a rework to better help gamers who wish to brush up on their skills and familiarize themselves with the legends. The overall space of the range has been expanded to give more room for practice. All weapons Weapons & Loot have received a rework to better allow players to find what they’re looking for quickly and efficiently and simulated death boxes have also been added. Additionally, there has been an agility course, Dual Pit and Training Grounds added.

New POIs

One of the locations that will be receiving a lot of attention this season will be Worlds Edge. This location will be receiving s new POI called Monument. While Fragment is a polarizing spot on the map, the addition of the POI was to add freshness to the area. This location is a museum allowing gamers to take a trip through Apex’s past, present, and future. Vertical updraft movement has also been removed from Worlds Edge.

Stacks is yet another new POI located on the southern edge. It’s a crow’s nest that’s all about verticality with interconnected rooftops. Skyhook will be receiving a new vault in Season 17 increasing the drop rates of Vault keys. The area will also be receiving snow.

Weapon Mastery

In order to deepen player engagement a new weapon mastery system was implemented. With this new system no matter if players are beginners or veterans, players will start with all of their weapons at level 1. To further progress weapons levels players must simply use them in any of Apex Legends game modes. While playing with specific weapons there will be certain trials to complete. With these trials, players can earn weapon-specific badges, lifetime performance trackers, Legendary weapon mastery banner frames, and a guaranteed Legendary skin for each weapon when fully completed. Unlike seasonal levels, weapon levels do not reset with each new season.

New Item

New to next season will be Evac Towers. This new survival item will send a rocket skyward exploding into a balloon. An anchor will then brings the zipline to ground level allowing players to ride up and initiate a skydive, redeploying to a new location. The Evac Tower has a limited duration and will slowly take damage over time.
