Publish Date: August 13, 2023

Just like the Victims, the Family have their own roles to play and that’s to kill all victims who get in their way. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Family Abilities allow players to successfully corner and capture all victims before they can attempt their daring escape. To make that task much easier here are all of the family’s abilities in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game.

The Family is prepared to make sure the victims become, well victims. Just like their prey, the Family has their own category of attributes along with their unique perks. First, let’s go over the attributes.

Savagery: This affects the amount of damage melee hits can deal.

Harvesting: Determines the amount of blood gained for Grandpa when interacting with Victims. Hit and grapple the Victms and perform executions to fill up on blood hits. (Does not affect the amount of blood gained from buckets around the map.)

Endurance: Affects the stamina drain and recharge rate of melee strikes and mobility.

With the attributes out of the way, let’s meet the Family.

The Family

The Cook: SEEK

  • The Seek Ability allows the Cook to lean in and listen carefully to any strange sounds he might hear around the map. If a sound is detected, he can focus in on it, revealing the location of the Victim unfortunate enough to be making the most noise.

Sissy: BANE

  • Sissy can craft poisons from local plants and then blow the powder in the faces of Victims or use them to contaminate items around the map.

The Hitchhiker: TRAP

  • The Hitchhiker has the ability to place traps around the map that alert him when an unsuspecting Victim steps in.

Johnny: HUNT

  • Being a stalker and predator Johnny can see and track the fresh footsteps of Victims around the map.

Leatherface: MAIM

  • Leather is a unique family member that can utilize their chainsaw in a variety of ways. Of course, its primary function is to hack and slash at victims.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows on August 18
