How These Change the Game
- Mangoes
- With the focus on food in this patch, Mangoes should be huge for all Civs but especially food-focused Civs. They are also the first to combine food and culture as a resource in the game.
- Clay
- This is just extremely helpful overall and makes Warhouse Buildings even stronger.
- Flax
- Just getting the base levels of Science and Culture is really nice and should pair well with every Civ or Leader but it feels like it was added for Ada.
- Rubies
- Finally! A base Gold resource is added to the game. Add in that they count toward Treasure Fleets and this may be the my personal favorite resource in the game.
- Rice
- Again, a massive bonus for food and with the balance changes they already made it feels like getting a few Rice resources may be enough for you to expand quickly.
- Limestone
- Finding Limestone early, especially for that Cultural Legacy Path in Antiquity could be amazing. This is still a fantastic resource overall as it does not have the stipulations that Ivory and Marble have.
- Tin
- This is a nice new Factory resource that should make losing Fish not too big of a deal.
- Llamas
- I mean just having Llamas in the game is awesome and clearly the devs felt the same way giving it this much Happiness.
- Hardwood
- Was wondering what the purpose of calling it Hardwood was but this makes way more sense. Naval empires and those looking for strong navies after Antiquity should be searching for Hardwood as much as possible.
- Wild Game
- This feels like it was added just to help with the lack of Food Balance.
