Toughness is a stat in College Football 26 that has a very select use case, and that is Wear and Tear. So, the tougher a player, the less they will be affected by Wear and Tear.
Other stats like Stamina and Injury help as well, but if you are manually progressing your players in Dynasty mode, consider slotting some points into Toughness!
