The Toronto Raptors have reached a deal with EuroLeague guard Matt Thomas for three years and $4.2 million. Shams Charania of The Athletic was the first to report the deal.
Thomas, 24, has played two seasons in the Spanish league and was with Valencia basket last year. He averaged 11.4 points and 1.6 assists per game last season.
Toronto signing Thomas gives them an end-of-the-bench guard who also comes very cheaply. This will give them some flexibility in acquisitions down the road.
Thomas played his college basketball at Iowa State.
