Russell Wilson has signed a four-year extension with the Seahawks that will make him the NFL’s highest-paid player.
The contract will be worth $140 million with a $65 million signing bonus. Wilson’s contract surpassed Aaron Rodgers’ four-year $134 million contract signed last August.
Wilson posted on social media to let fans of the Seahawks know that he would be returning to Seattle.

Wilson, 30, has thrown for 25,625 yards, 196 touchdowns and 63 interceptions on 64.2 percent completion in his career. He was the starting quarterback of the Seahawks when they won Super Bowl XLVIII.
Earlier this offseason, Wilson set a deadline of April 15 for a new deal. There were rumors that if a deal wasn’t reached that Wilson could want to go to a new team.
