Veteran receiver Randall Cobb will play his football in Dallas this season according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer. The deal is for one-year worth $5 million.
The Cowboys have upgraded their receivers from this point last season, as they now have Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin and now Cobb. The team thrived after acquiring Cooper last season, going 7-2 to close out the season and make the playoffs.
Cobb, 28, has played for the Packers his entire career, which spans eight seasons. He was a reliable receiver for Aaron Rodgers over those seasons with 470 receptions for 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns in his career.
Although he is a talented receiver, Cobb has been injury prone as of late and was only able to play in nine games last season. The last year he played in all 16 games was 2015.
