Mike Scott and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed on terms for a new contract. Scott will get a two-year $9.8 million deal according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Scott, 30, was a role player for the 76ers at the end of last season who averaged 7.8 points per game. He has played for the Atlanta Hawks, the Washington Wizards and the Los Angeles Clippers as well in his eight-year career.
He will not only provide a role player, but a solid player in the frontcourt to give the 76ers depth. This is extremely important, as the 76ers were one of the worst teams in the league last season in bench scoring.
