NFL Week 10 Picks

The NFL season is already full of surprises, which makes it hard to pick winners. Cecil Walker and Joe DiTullio, of The Third and the Don Football Show, will do their best to try to predict the winners for every NFL game this season. Here are the NFL week 10 picks.

Thursday Night: Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Joe- Both these teams are scorching hot right now. It is actually a Thursday night game that should impress viewers. The Steelers are at home on the short week, so they will win.- Steelers

Cecil- The Panthers are one of the best teams in NFL right now and the Steelers are on a hot streak. The Panthers are a more talented team and will be able to limit the Steelers offense and dominant their defense. -Panthers

Sunday: Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

Joe- Chicago is coming off of a rout of Buffalo. The defense is one of the best in the league. They are also the more complete team than Detroit and are at home.- Bears

Cecil- The Bears have looked great down the stretch and the Lions are average at best. The Bears defense will shut down Matthew Stafford and the Lions defense is nothing for Turbisky and company to worry about.=Bears

New Orleans Saints at Cincinnati Bengals

Joe- Cincinnati is on pace to give up the most yards in NFL history. They are playing Drew Brees. It just doesn’t add up well for the Bengals.- Saints

Cecil- The Bengals defense is bad and relies on turnovers to get anything done. They are going up against a top three NFL offense and a future Hall of Famer in Drew Brees. Add no AJ Green to the mix and this could get ugly.-Saints

Atlanta Falcons at Cleveland Browns

Joe- The Browns are a dumpster-fire again. They don’t have the talent or the management at this point to get the job done. Atlanta is on fire and will outscore the Browns.- Falcons

Cecil= The Falcons have come back from the dead just in time for the Browns’ annual midseason collapse. The Falcons are going to light up the scoreboard in this one. =Falcons

New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans

Joe- Tennessee may have won in Dallas on Monday, but they still aren’t a great team. They’re on a short week even though they are at home. Tom Brady will be pressured, but will help the Patriots come out on top again.- Patriots

Cecil= This game could be closer than some people are thinking with Mike Vrabel’s ties to the Patriots. However, the Titans complete lack of an offensive identity will make it hard to keep up with a hot Patriots team.-Patriots

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts

Joe- The Jags are coming off a bye week and needed that going forward. Because the Colts have so many issues on the defensive side of the ball, the Jags will steal one in Indianapolis.- Jaguars

Cecil- Leonard Fournette will be back this week and should help boost the struggling Jaguars. The Jaguars simply have too much talent to lose to a Colts team with no defense and a middling offense.-Jaguars

Arizona Cardinals at Kansas City Chiefs

Joe- Bigger upsets have happened, but it won’t happen in this one.- Chiefs

Cecil- If you can figure out a way the Cardinals win this one without Pat Mahomes getting injured, please let me know.-Chiefs

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

Joe- As long as Nathan Peterman is starting for the Bills, they can’t be picked to win a game. Even if Derek Anderson starts there isn’t much to be hopeful about. – Jets

Cecil- The Jets defense can be tough and I don’t believe any team could win with Nathan Peterman at the helm. The key is Sam Darnold limiting his turnovers.-Jets

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Joe- FitzMagic is now back and lighting up the scoreboard. The Redskins couldn’t contain the Falcons and the Bucs will do much of the same. Washington might win the NFC East, but it’s not a great division.- Bucs

Cecil- At first glance, the Redskins should be favored in this game. However, they will be missing three of their starting offensive lineman. To lose that many players at any position is a red flag, but this will make it difficult to get anything done on offense. Add in the unpredictability of Fitzmagic and the game is the Bucs’ to lose.-Buccaneers

Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders

Joe- Kansas City is getting all the love in this division, but the Chargers are a solid team capable of making some noise in the playoffs. They won’t slip up against a Raiders team that couldn’t beat the C.J. Beathard-led 49ers.- Chargers

Cecil- The Raiders just got their teeth kicked in by an unknown rookie QB in his first start. Now they face All-Pro Philip Rivers. I let you do to the math.-Chargers

Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers

Joe- The Dolphins have made the most of a down AFC East (other than the Patriots), but they will not be able to beat the Packers. Aaron Rodgers won’t let the Packers lose at home to Miami.- Packers

Cecil- The Dolphins have to try to win at Lambeau Field. That is a tall order for any team against Aaron Rodgers. The Dolphins simply don’t have the talent to keep up.-Packers

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

Russell Wilson (Photo by nypost.com)

Joe- Sean McVay’s squad suffered their first loss of the season against the Saints. They will now refocus and win an inter-division matchup against the Seahawks. Seattle is an average team and the Rams will get a lot of pressure on Russell Wilson in this one.- Rams

Cecil- These two teams always play a close game regardless of talent. Russell Wilson will have a big day against a hobbled Rams secondary, but the Rams offense will be too much to contain.-Rams

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Joe- Dallas needs to change some things up or they aren’t going to improve. With Jerry Jones reaffirming his belief that the current coaches can get it done, the Cowboys are looking at a .500 season at best. They will keep it close, but the Eagles will win in the end.- Eagles

Cecil-I can’t pick the Cowboys in good conscience until they make some huge changes to their offensive playcalling. Meanwhile, Carson Wentz is looking like his old self as the Eagles start to get healthy.-Eagles

Monday Night Football: New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers

Joe- Another great Monday Night Football game. Who’s in charge of picking these games. The Giants have more playmakers, so they’ll be able to sneak away a win on the road.- Giants

Cecil- When two bad teams play, anything can happen. Nick Mullens won’t have as good a performance against the Giants and the Giants will ride Saquon Barkley to a victory.-Giants
