The New York Knicks have agreed to a deal with big man Taj Gibson according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Gibson has agreed to a contract for two years worth $20 million.
Gibson, 34, is an 11-year veteran, who has played for the Bulls, Thunder and Timberwolves in his career. This past season for Minnesota, Gibson averaged 10.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.
The Knicks didn’t sign the superstars they may have wanted, but got a good player in Julius Randle and now an excellent role player in Gibson. Both players will be tasked with working with a very young team, whose longest-tenured player is Frank Nitilikina.
