Kanter was sent to New York from Oklahoma City in the deal to acquire Carmelo Anthony before the 2017-2018 season. He was averaging 14.5 points and 10.5 rebound per game in 44 games this season. He has not yet found a team to sign with.
Matthews just arrived in New York in the trade that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas. He was averaging 13.1 points for the Mavericks and 7.0 points per game for the two games he played for the Knicks. As reported by Shams Charania, Matthews plans to sign with the Pacers in the wake of the Victor Oladipo injury, as he’ll be out for the rest of the season.
