Jonas Valanciunas was traded from Toronto to Memphis during the season and now will stay with the team on a three-year, $45 million deal. The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Once free agency opens at 6 PM ET, center Jonas Valanciunas is expected to commit to a three-year, $45M contract to return to the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources tell ESPN.

Valanciunas, 27, is an eight-year veteran who is averaging 12.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. For the Grizzlies last season, he played 19 games, averaging 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.
The Grizzlies traded away Marc Gasol and Mike Conley over the last several months, so Valanciunas will take on a leadership role with the team. Memphis will need him to lead Jaren Jackson Jr. and new draft pick Ja Morant.
