Kentucky may have been bounced out of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, but they have retained the services of John Calipari for life.
Calipari said on his weekly radio show that he agreed to the lifetime contract today.
The “other stuff” Calipari is referring to stems from reports that UCLA has contacted him about their vacant head coaching position. He was reportedly offered a six-year, $48 million contract.
Calipari has a 750-211 career record at Massachusetts, Memphis and Kentucky. He has won one National Championship, in 2012 with Kentucky. His record with the Wildcats is 305-71 and he has been to seven Elite 8s in his 10 years at the school.
