Guard J.J. Barea has agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum contract to remain with the Dallas Mavericks according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Free agent guard JJ Barea has agreed to a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

The 35-year-old spent 10 of his 13 years with the Mavericks and the other three with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Last season for the Mavericks, Barea averaged 19.8 minutes and 10.9 points per game.
Barea will once again provide guard depth and a leader in the locker room. The latter will be especially needed with the retirement of Dirk Nowitzki.
