Although he is only 23 years old, he hasn’t lived up to the hype yet of being the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Last season on the New York Knicks, he averaged 14.2 points per game. The 2018-2019 season was the best season statistically of Mudiay’s career.
The Jazz will develop Mudiay and hope he learns while playing behind newly-acquired Mike Conley. He will provide key bench minutes, as the Jazz lost Dante Exum in free agency.
