The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired former Bears running back Jordan Howard for a sixth-round pick in 2020. It is a conditional pick that can turn into a fifth rounder. The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Howard, 24, has been in the NFL for three seasons. Over that time he has 3,370 rushing yards and 25 total touchdowns. He was the lead-back for the Bears for the first two seasons, but Tarik Cohen seemed to gain favor with the new Bears’ coaching staff more than Howard.
Rookie Josh Adams led the Eagles in rushing yards last season with 511. They suffered injuries and couldn’t find consistency. Getting Howard should improve a running game that ranked 28th in the NFL.
