Doug Martin and the Oakland Raiders have agreed to a deal that will bring the veteran back to Oakland for the 2019 season. The deal was first reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Martin, 30, has played seven years in the NFL, six with the Buccaneers and last year with the Raiders. He rushed for 723 yards last season in Oakland, which led the team.
The Raiders agreeing to bring Martin back comes on the heels of the news of Isaiah Crowell tearing his Achilles and being out for the season. Now, Martin will likely split carries with rookie Josh Jacobs in Oakland’s backfield.
