Craig Kimbrel to Sign With Chicago Cubs

Free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel has finally decided on where he will play baseball this year, as Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported.

While not many details have been released yet about the contract, Rosenthal has said it is a multi-year deal.

Kimbrel, 31, had not signed with a team up to this point in the season. He has played with the Braves, Padres and Red Sox in his nine years of service in the pros. A seven-time All-Star, Kimbrel has won Reliever of the Year and won the 2018 World Series with the Red Sox.

He has 333 saves and a 1.91 ERA in his career. Kimbrel will help a Cubs bullpen that has struggled so far this season.
