The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed Clayton Kershaw to a three year, $93 million extension on Friday according to multiple reports. There will be bonuses but no opt-outs in the deal.
Kershaw has helped the Dodgers to two straight World Series, but has yet to win one. He has been criticized for his postseason performances with a 4.32 ERA, but has been one of the best pitchers in the game during the regular season.
In his 11 big league seasons, Kershaw has compiled a 153-69 record with a 2.39 ERA. He has won an MVP, a pitching triple crown, three Cy Young Awards and a Gold Glove. Kershaw is also a seven-time All-Star.
As of now, Kershaw will be the third highest paid player in Major League Baseball in 2019, as the Dodgers gear up for another championship run.
