Browns fire Hue Jackson

The Cleveland Browns have fired head coach Hue Jackson according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Jackson led Cleveland to a 2-5-1 record this season, but had seemingly lost the locker room. Defensive End Myles Garrett openly questioned their defensive game plan this week against the Steelers, after playing them to a tie in the opener.

Before this season, Jackson had one win as the Browns head coach over two seasons. He also had a stint as head coach in Oakland. His career record is 11-44-1.

Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley has also been fired by the organization.

Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams will take over as the interim head coach. Williams is most recognized for his role in “Bountygate” with the New Orleans Saints.
