Poirier is a 25-year-old center who has played in the French and Spanish leagues. Last season, Poirier averaged 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game with Baskonia in Spain.
The addition of Poirier helps give the Celtics more frontcourt depth, as they lost Al Horford in free agency. They have already agreed to a deal with Enes Kanter as well.
