The Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons will agree on a five-year, $170 million max extension according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Simmons and his agent Rich Paul will now work out the details to the extension.
The deal will keep the young star in Philadelphia for five more seasons, as the 76ers hope their core can grow and win a championship.
The 22-year-old Simmons is a one-time All-Star who averaged 16.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. He was the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.
