Patterson, 27, has played with the Vikings, Raiders and Patriots in his career. He has 184 receptions for 1,872 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career. He also has experience as a returner with six return touchdowns in his career. He won a Super Bowl last season with the Patriots.
The Bears will hope that Patterson will provide another good target for Mitch Trubisky to throw to, as he already has Allen Robinson and Trey Burton.
