Rivers is a veteran guard who has spent time in New Orleans, with the Clippers, the Wizards and the Rockets. With the Wizards and Rockets last season he averaged 8.1 points and 2.2 assists per game.
The Rockets acquired Rivers last season to give the team more bench scoring and Rivers will now resume that role with the team.
