The Atlanta Hawks have accepted a trade of Evan Turner for Kent Bazemore with the Portland Trail Blazers as first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Turner, 30, helped the Blazers make the playoffs last season with 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. The former no. 2 overall pick will be joining his fifth team in his 10-year career.
Bazemore, 29, had been a key contributor for the Hawks the last five seasons, but with the additions of Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter through the draft, likely would’ve seen limited time this upcoming season. He averaged 11.6 point and 24.5 minutes per game last season in Atlanta.
Portland could lose Rodney Hood in free agency and if they do, Bazemore could see significant minutes next season.
