The Atlanta Hawks have acquired wing Chandler Parsons from the Memphis Grizzlies for Solomon Hill and Miles Plumlee. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN was the first to report the deal.
Parsons, 30, has experience with the Rockets, Mavericks and Grizzlies in his eight-year career. He averaged 7.5 points last season with the Grizzlies. For this season, Parsons will make over $25 million, but his contract will come off the books after the season, allowing the Hawks to have more cap space for free agent targets next summer.
The Grizzlies acquire Hill, who has been a solid role player for his career, and Plumlee who gives them frontcourt depth. Hill averaged 4.3 points per game for the Pelicans last season. Plumlee averaged 4.4 points per game for the Hawks in 2018-2019.
