The Miami Dolphins have fired head coach Adam Gase according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Gase has been the head coach of the Dolphins for three seasons with a 23-25 record. In his first season as head coach in 2016, the Dolphins made the playoffs, but were unable to win a game.
During his tenure, the Dolphins have traded away some notable players including wide receiver Jarvis Landry and Jay Ajayi. They have dealt with an injured Ryan Tannehill and are still not committed to him, as he has a potential out in his contract for 2019. He is currently under contract through the 2020 season.
Before coaching the Dolphins, Gase was the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos.
