Fortnite 19.02 update Adds a New POI And More

Epic Games recently released the Fortnite 19.02 update adding a new POI to the island and along with it, new guns and cosmetics.

Covert Cavern

Just north of Camp Cuddle a new POI Covert Caverns has finally opened up its wall. Inside the caverns is an IO boss who wields a mythical variation of the stinger SMG. Once defeated, players can wield the newly acquired weapon for themselves.

Heavy Shotgun

The mythic SMG isn’t the only new addition being added to the arsenal. With Fortnite’s 19.02 update the heavy shotgun makes its return. The heavy shotgun can be found on the ground, in normal and Rare Chests, and from Supply Drops. The weapon is made available in all rarities. The shotgun has also gone through a rework since players have last seen the weapon. The gun is now a single slug, possesses a much longer range, and requires more accuracy in order to hit shots.

Beneath The Mask.

With the Fortnite 19.20 update, the battle pass outfit Haven as an assortment of different masks that she can wear.

To unlock her masks players must collect feathers in chests scattered about the Island. With the collected feathers they can be spent in the “Haven’s Masks” section of the Battle Pass tab. Once the feathers are spent a special quest is opened up for players to complete to make the mask available to redeem.

Bug Fixes

The Fortnite 19.02 update of course brought along some bug fixes.

• the issue involving the visual indicator for using a Reboot Van appearing at a greater distance than the sound could be heard.
•  the issue involving matches sometimes not being recorded during a tournament session and the points earned in those matches becoming lost.
•  An issue involving Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters dropping from eliminated players with a full stock of uses even if it didn’t have a full stock before the player was eliminated.
