The 2025-26 NFL season is underway which means we are in the thick of fantasy football season! The fantasy landscape has already changed since the preseason due to breakout players and major injuries across the league. Bye weeks are starting to take place. This means that wide receivers like Justin Jefferson and Nico Collins will be out this week. It would be irresponsible to start a player with a rough matchup over a player with a more favorable one that is ranked or projected to perform similarly. Here are fantasy football Week 6 wide receiver rankings.
[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]
[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting WR1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High WR2- a player who may not be likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between WR1 and WR2 territory.
Starting WR2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started because of their consistency and moderately high floor
Low WR2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and cause a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deeper League Flex- a player who has starting value in deeper leagues. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Upside Player- a player who is boom or bust. This player can exceed expectations in a given week or could flop and be the reason why someone lost their fantasy matchup.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

WR2 Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
Amon-Ra St. Brown missed practice on Wednesday with a wrist injury. If he doesn’t practice this week there is a legitimate chance St. Brown misses this week’s game. If St. Brown misses Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs Jameson Williams moves up to WR25 between Terry McLaurin and Ladd McConkey.
WR11 Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
Quentin Johnston was limited in practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. It is unclear when the injury occurred but it is something to watch. If Johnston misses Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins Keenan Allen moves up to WR12 between Xavier Worthy and Jaylen Waddle. Ladd McConkey moves up to WR20 between D.K. Metcalf and A.J. Brown. Tre Harris becomes WR68 between Ryan Flournoy and Kayson Boutte.
WR16 Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
Zay Flowers was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. It is unclear if this injury could cause Flowers to miss time. If Flowers misses Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams Rashod Bateman moves up to WR51 between Josh Downs and Malik Washington. DeAndre Hopkins moves up to WR57 between Jalen Coker and Dyami Brown.
WR25 Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin missed the past two games with a quad injury. McLaurin missed practice on Wednesday because of the injury. If McLaurin misses Week 6 against the Chicago Bears Luke McCaffrey becomes WR55 between Alec Pierce and Tory Horton.
WR29 Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chris Godwin missed practice on Wednesday with a fibula injury. There is something to monitor considering the injury that held him out to begin the year. If Godwin misses Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers Sterling Shepard moves up to WR48 between Travis Hunter and Darnell Mooney. Tez Johnson becomes WR66 between Isaiah Bond and JuJu Smith-Schsuter.
San Francisco 49ers Wide Receivers: WR32 Ricky Pearsall & WR35 Jauan Jennings
Both Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings missed last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Pearsall is suffering from a knee injury. While Jennings is dealing with both ankle and ribs injuries. If both Pearsall and Jennings miss Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kendrick Bourne moves up to WR27 between Khalil Shakir and DeVonta Smith. Demarcus Robinson becomes WR51 between Josh Downs and Malik Washington.
WR49 Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons
Darnell Mooney suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the Washington Commanders. He is still considered questionable for this week’s game. If Mooney misses Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills Ray-Ray McCloud III becomes WR57 between Jalen Coker and Dyami Brown.
WR55 Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts
Alec Pierce missed the past two games with a concussion. He practiced in full on Wednesday. If Pierce misses Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals Adonai Mitchell becomes WR58 between Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus.
WR57 Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers
Jalen Coker could return this week from his preseason quad injury. He could make his season debut this week. If Coker misses Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys Xavier Legette moves up to WR56 between Alec Pierce and Tory Horton.
WR58 Dyami Brown, Jacksonville Jaguars
Dyami Brown was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. This injury caused Brown to miss Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers. If Brown misses Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks Parker Washington moves up to WR58 between Jalen Coker and Olamide Zaccheaus.
WR62 Kavontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys
Kavontae Turpin missed last week against the New York Jets with a foot injury. He is not expected to play this week. If Turpin misses Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers Jalen Tolbert moves up to WR62 between Tutu Atwell and Parker Washington. Ryan Flournoy moves up to WR65 between Tyquan Thornton and Isaiah Bond.
Darius Slayton, New York Giants
Darius Slayton was ruled out for this week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jalin Hyatt is expected to step up as the second starting receiver in the Giants’ offense behind Wan’Dale Robinson. Hyatt is an interesting long-shot for those looking to stream a flex in deeper leagues. But Jaxson Dart has been funneling a lot of his targets to tight ends and running backs after Malik Nabers suffered his season ending injury.
Calvin Austin III, Pittsburgh Steelers
Calvin Austin III missed practice on Wednesday. He is expected to miss this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek are expected to lineup opposite D.K. Metcalf. Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth should see a boost in work while Austin is out.
