Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterback Rankings

Patrick Mahomes

The 2021-22 NFL season has already been extremely entertaining. Bye weeks are starting to take place. This means that quarterbacks like Matt Ryan and Trey Lance will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 6 quarterback rankings.

*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*

(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)

Key:
Must Start- a player who should definitely be in your lineup that week because of the combination of matchup and talent. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and could repeat the production most weeks.
Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week. A high ceiling play in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either. Also a viable option in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week. A reasonable player to have in your lineup in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday

QB3 Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady suffered a thumb injury during last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Brady was able to finish the game and should be able to play this week. This is important to monitor because the Buccaneers play the Eagles Thursday night. If something was to change Blaine Gabbert would be the QB22 on the week between Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa.

QB11 Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

After last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers, Joe Burrow was taken to the hospital with a throat contusion. It was precautionary and he should be able to play this weekend. If Burrow cannot play Brandon Allen would slot in at QB24 on the week between Ben Roethlisberger and Baker Mayfield.

QB13 Daniel Jones, New York Giants

The New York Giants were brutalized by injuries this past weekend. One of the injuries the Giants dealt with was to their quarterback Daniel Jones. He suffered a concussion following a scramble towards the endzone last week. He is currently in concussion protocol and is questionable for this weekend. If Jones cannot play Mike Glennon will become the QB26 on the week for the week between Davis Mills and Geno Smith.

QB23 Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa hasn’t played since Week 2 because of a rib injury. Miami has placed him on injured reserve and is eligible to come back this week. Yesterday he was activated off of IR and will practice with the team before they go to London. If Miami decides not to play Tagovailoa this week Jacoby Brissett will slot in at QB25 between Baker Mayfield and Davis Mills.
