Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterback Rankings

The 2026 NFL season has officially kicked off, and with that, the fantasy football season as well. After Week 5 of the NFL season, the landscape for the best options for your fantasy football team has already started to take shape, with surprise performances, breakout players and fantasy duds changing week to week. The season is still early, and it remains to be seen who the top quarterbacks in fantasy will be, but let’s take a look at my fantasy football quarterback rankings going into Week 6.

Key:

Must Start- A player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.

Starting QB1- A player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a solid floor.

Low-End Starter- A player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more often than not because of depth at the position. Their production is based on whether they can get in the end zone or not. It can be the difference between a top-10 performance and a top-25 performance.

Deep League Starter- A player whose ceiling isn’t high but should put up enough production to be started in deep leagues. When a player like this is started, it is because their production, though it will likely be low, will be better than a few other options.

Leave on the Bench- A player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times, this player could even be left on waivers.

Updates for Week 6:

  • Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, Kyler Murray and Malik Willis are all on bye this week, so fantasy managers should replace these quarterbacks with options off the bench.
  • Lamar Jackson’s status is still uncertain for the Ravens‘ Week 6 road game against the Cleveland Browns as he continues to recover from a left ankle injury suffered in Week 4. Head coach Jesse Minter stated Monday that Jackson is doing better in his recovery, but there’s still no guarantee he’ll be on the field in Cleveland. Fantasy managers should stay updated on Jackson’s status throughout the week, and if he’s unable to play, backup Tyler Huntley is expected to start in his place for the second straight week.
  • Caleb Williams is likely to make his return as QB1 this week after missing the past three games with a hamstring injury. Williams was listed as a full participant at Bears practice on Wednesday, and he’ll be aiming to make his return to the field this week as the Bears go on the road to face the Falcons. Fantasy managers should still stay updated on Williams’ status as Sunday approaches.
