The 2025-26 NFL season has begun which means fantasy football is back! Most fantasy football team managers don’t make major lineup moves in the first week of the season. Typically managers will start the players they drafted in the earlier rounds. However, since every week is important it would be irresponsible to start a player with a rough matchup over a player with a more favorable one because he was drafted to be a starter. Here are fantasy football week 2 wide receiver rankings.
[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]
[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting WR1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High WR2- a player who may not be likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between WR1 and WR2 territory.
Starting WR2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started because of their consistency and moderately high floor
Low WR2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and cause a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deeper League Flex- a player who has starting value in deeper leagues. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Upside Player- a player who is boom or bust. This player can exceed expectations in a given week or could flop and be the reason why someone lost their fantasy matchup.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

New York Giants Wide Receivers: WR4 Malik Nabers & WR53 Wan’Dale Robinson
Malik Nabers was limited in practice on Wednesday with a back injury. Wan’Dale Robinson missed practice on Wednesday with a back injury. If both Nabers and Robinson miss Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys Darius Slayton moves up to WR44 between Quentin Johnston and Jauan Jennings.
If Robinson is active and Nabers is inactive in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys Robinson becomes the WR39 between Stefon Diggs and Michael Pittman Jr. Darius Slayton moves up to WR59 between Christian Kirk and Marvin Mims Jr.
If Nabers is active and Robinson is inactive in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys Darius Slayton WR59 between Stefon Diggs and Michael Pittman Jr.
Atlanta Falcons Wide Receivers: WR7 Drake London & WR51 Darnell Mooney
Drake London was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. Darnell Mooney missed last week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a shoulder injury. That injury caused him to be limited in practice on Wednesday. If both London and Mooney miss Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings Ray-Ray McCloud moves up to WR42 between Khalil Shakir and George Pickens.
If Mooney is active and London is inactive in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings Mooney becomes the WR31 between Deebo Samuel and Rome Odunze. Ray-Ray McCloud moves up to WR58 between Josh Palmer and Christian Kirk.
If London is active and Mooney is inactive in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings Ray-Ray McCloud becomes WR60 between Marvin Mims Jr. and Josh Downs.
WR37 Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
Jaylen Waddle was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. It is unclear if this injury will jeopardize Waddle’s status for this week. If Waddle misses Week 2 against the New England Patriots Tyreek Hill moves up to WR23 between Courtland Sutton and Mike Evans. Malik Washington would become WR75 between DeAndre Hopkins and Brandin Cooks.
WR45 Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
Jauan Jenning missed practice on Wednesday because of a shoulder injury. It is unclear if this injury could cause Jennings to miss this week’s game. If Jennings misses Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints Kendrick Bourne becomes WR65 between Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette.
WR54 Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots
Kayshon Boutte was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. At this point Boutte is expected to play this week. If Boutte misses Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins Demario “Pop” Douglas moves up to WR54 between Wan’Dale Robinson and Romeo Doubs. Mack Hollins would become WR78 between Ray-Ray McCloud and Isaac Teslaa.
WR59 Christian Kirk, Houston Texans
Christian Kirk missed last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams with a hamstring injury. There is a chance that Kirk returns this week. If Kirk misses Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jayden Higgins moves up to WR59 between Josh Palmer and Marvin Mims Jr.
WR68 Hunter Renfrow, Carolina Panthers
Hunter Renfrow was limited in practice on Wednesday with a rib injury. It is unclear if this injury could cause Renfrow to miss any time. If Renfrow misses Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals David Moore could be the starting slot receiver for the Carolina Panthers.
Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
Xavier Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder last week against the Los Angeles Chargers after colliding with Travis Kelce. He is expected to miss a few weeks because of the injury. The next man up for the Kansas City Chiefs is Marquise “Hollywood” Brown followed by JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton. Kansas City could look to add a veteran receiver to fill in now that they will be without Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Jalen Royals for an extended period of time.
