The 2023-24 NFL season has been outstanding so far. Already there have been a ton of breakout players and fantasy duds that have made the game so entertaining. Bye weeks are starting to take place. This means that wide receivers like Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Terry McLaurin will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 14 wide receiver rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to the Injured Reserve List
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting WR1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High WR2- a player who may not be likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between WR1 and WR2 territory.
Starting WR2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started is because of their consistency and moderately high floor
Low WR2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and cause a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deeper League Flex- a player who has starting value in deeper leagues. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Upside Player- a player who is boom or bust. This player can exceed expectations in a given week or could flop and be the reason why someone lost their fantasy matchup.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
WR20 Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
Puka Nacua was limited in practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. He has been dealing with this injury for a few weeks. If Nacua misses Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens Tutu Atwell moves up to WR53 between Parker Washington and Darius Slayton. Demarcus Robinson moves up to WR67 Treylon Burks and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
WR24 Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
Christian Watson suffered a hamstring injury last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. It is unclear if Watson will miss anytime with the injury. If Watson misses Week 14 against the New York Giants Jayden Reed moves up to WR28 between Calvin Ridley and Adam Thielen. Romeo Doubs moves up to WR41 between Elijah Moore and Chris Godwin. Dontayvion Wicks moves up to WR55 between Quentin Johnston and Alec Pierce.
WR37 Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns
Amari Cooper missed practice on Wednesday with a concussion. It seems unlikely that Cooper will play this week if he remains in concussion protocol. If Cooper misses Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars Elijah Moore moves up to WR33 between Diontae Johnson and Gabriel Davis. Cedric Tillman moves up to WR62 between Trey Palmer and Xavier Gipson.
New England Patriots Wide Receivers: WR44 DeVante Parker & WR71 JuJu Smith-Schuster
DeVante Parker is questionable for this week’s game with a knee injury. JuJu Smith-Schuster was limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury. If Parker misses Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers Smith-Schuster moves up to WR54 between Darius Slayton and Quentin Johnston.
If Smith-Schuster misses Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers Tyquan Thornton becomes WR73 between DJ Chark and Tutu Atwell.
If both Parker and Smith-Schuster miss Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers Tyquan Thornton becomes WR56 between Alec Pierce and Tyler Boyd. Jalen Reagor becomes WR76 between Michael Gallup and Demarcus Robinson.
WR47 Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars
Zay Jones was limited in practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. Jones has been dealing with injuries all season. If Jones misses Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns Parker Washington moves up to WR50 between Jakobi Meyers and Jerry Jeudy.
WR48 Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints
Rashid Shaheed missed last week’s game against the Detroit Lions with a thigh injury. He missed practice on Wednesday because of the injury. If Shaheed misses Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers A.T. Perry becomes WR72 between Jameson Williams and DJ Chark.
WR64 Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens
Rashod Bateman missed practice on Wednesday because of an illness. It is unclear if Bateman will miss this week’s game because of the illness. If Bateman misses Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams Nelson Agholor becomes the WR65 between Justin Watson and Khalil Shakir.
Players that are currently not expected to play
Tank Dell, Houston Texans
Tank Dell was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday after fracturing his fibula last week against the Denver Broncos. This will end Dell’s season. Nico Collins should now become the true top receiver in Houston. Noah Brown should be next in line for targets followed by Robert Woods and John Metchie III.
Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars
Christian Kirk is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a core muscle injury. Kirk suffered the injury last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Parker Washington is expected to take over Kirk’s role as the team’s primary slot receiver in his absence.
Demario “Pop” Douglas, New England Patriots
Demario “Pop Douglas was ruled out for this week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a concussion. While Douglas is out DeVante Parker is expected to be the team’s number one option. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton should see expanded roles as well.
