The 2025-26 NFL season is underway which means we are in the thick of fantasy football season! The fantasy landscape has already changed since the preseason due to breakout players and major injuries across the league. Bye weeks have been taking place. However, there are no teams on a bye this week. Fantasy Managers will have full utilization of their roster and plenty of options to choose from when selecting who to start the week. On top of that, Injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season as well. It’s always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are fantasy football Week 13 running back rankings.
[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]
[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They Will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting RB1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High-End RB2- a player who may not be likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between RB1 and RB2 territory.
Starting RB2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started because of their consistency and moderately high floor.
Low RB2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and cause a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deep League Flex- a player who is more of a Hail Mary throw at the position. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

RB9 Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Saquon Barkley was limited in practice on Wednesday with a groin injury. He has been dealing with this injury for a few weeks. If Barkley misses Week 13 against the Chicago Bears Tank Bigsby becomes RB25 between Devin Neal and D’Andre Swift.
RB14 Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
Omarion Hampton has missed the past six games with an ankle injury. He was limited in his return to practice on Wednesday. If Hampton misses Week 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders Kimani Vidal moves up to RB26 between D’Andre Swift and Rhamondre Stevenson.
RB22 Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
Kenneth Walker III was limited in practice on Wednesday with a glute injury. He has been dealing with this injury for about a week. If Walker III misses Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings Zach Charbonnet moves up to RB18 between Javonte Williams and R.J. Harvey.
RB25 Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints
Devin Neal was limited in practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. It is unclear if this injury could affect Neal’s status for next week. If Neal misses Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins Audric Estime becomes RB43 between Kimani Vidal and Rachaad White.
Arizona Cardinals Running Backs: RB28 Trey Benson, RB54 Zonovan “Bam” Knight, & RB57 Emari Demercado
Trey Benson has missed the past six games with a knee injury. Zonovan “Bam” Knight was limited in practice on Wednesday because of a knee injury. Emari Demarcado missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. If all three miss Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Michael Carter becomes RB25 between Aaron Jones and Devin Neal.
If Benson and one of Knight or Demercado miss Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the remaining running back would rank at RB29 between Kyle Monangai and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
If Benson is active and one of Knight or Demercado is inactive in Week 13 against the Tampa Bat Buccaneers the remaining of the two would rank as RB49 between Devin Singletary and Blake Corum.
RB42 Chris Rodriguez Jr. Washington Commanders
Chris Rodriguez Jr. missed practice on Wednesday because of an illness. It is unclear if this is something that could cause him to miss time. If Rodriguez Jr. misses Week 13 against the Denver Broncos Jacory Croskey-Merritt moves up to RB39 between Tyjae Spears and Zach Charbonnet. Jeremy McNichols becomes RB42 between Bhaysul Tuten and Sean Tucker.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara suffered an MCL sprain last week against the Atlanta Falcons. He is expected to miss a week or two because of the injury. In his absence Devin Neal is expected to step up and be the team’s primary running back. Utility player Taysom Hill could split time with Neal in New Orleans’ backfield. Both could be on the flex radar while Kamara is out.
J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos
J.K. Dobbins was placed on Injured Reserve before Denver’s bye with a foot injury. He is expected to return to the team before the end of the regular season. While Dobbins out out R.J. Harvey will ranked as an RB2 in fantasy. Jaleel McLaughlin should see a role with the offense as well. Sean Payton is notorious for utilizing multiple running backs as opposed to having a workhorse back.
