Fantasy Football Week 12 Wide Receiver Rankings

Publish Date: November 25, 2021

The 2021-22 NFL season is past its halfway point. Bye weeks have been taking place the past few weeks. This means those wide receivers like Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the Fantasy Football Week 12 wide receiver rankings.

*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*

(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)

Key:

Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.

Starting WR1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.

High WR2- a player who may isn’t likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between WR1 and WR2 category.

Starting WR2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started is because of their consistency and moderately high floor

Low WR2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.

Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and causes a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.

Deeper League Flex- a player who has starting value in deeper leagues. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.

Upside Player- a player who is boom or bust. This player can exceed expectations in a given week or could flop and be the reason why someone lost their fantasy matchup.

Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receivers: WR7 Mike Evans & WR21 Antonio Brown

Mike Evans missed practice Wednesday with back tightness and Antonio Brown is continuing to nurse an ankle injury. If both were to miss this game against the Indianapolis Colts then Tyler Johnson would move up to WR34 between Corey Davis and Cole Beasley. Then Breshad Perriman, Jaelon Darden, and Scotty Miller (if he returns) would become interesting DFS plays this week.

If Evans is active and Brown is inactive then Tyler Johnson will continue to fill Brown’s void in the Buccaneers depth chart. Johnson moves up to WR56 between Nelson Agholor and Tim Patrick.

If Evans is inactive and Brown is active then Antonio Brown would move up to WR9 between Keenan Allen and Stefon Diggs. Tyler Johnson would move up to WR59 between Amon-Ra St. Brown and T.Y. Hilton.

WR16 Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Baltimore Ravens

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown missed last week’s game against the Chicago Bears with a thigh issue. If Brown was to miss this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns then Rashod Bateman would move up to WR18 between Brandon Aiyuk and Jaylen Waddle. Devin Duvernay would move up to WR55 between Tre’Quan Smith and Curtis Samuel. Then Sammy Watkins would also join the list at WR69 between Nick Westbrook Ihkine and Bryan Edwards.

WR23 A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans

A.J. Brown missed practice Wednesday with a chest injury. If it holds him out of this weekend’s game against the New England Patriots then Tennessee will likely spread the ball out to Nick Westbrook-Ihkine, Dez Fitzpatrick, possibly even Golden Tate who was signed onto the practice squad earlier this week.

New York Giants Wide Receivers: WR40 Sterling Shepard & WR43 Kadarius Toney

Sterling Shepard is dealing with a quad injury that held him out of New York’s last two games. Kadarius Toney missed Wednesday’s practice with a quad injury. If both are inactive this week against the Philadelphia Eagles then Kenny Golladay moves into Kadarius Toney’s WR43 slot. Darius Slayton would then move up to WR58 between Tim Patrick and Laviska Shenault Jr.

If Shepard was to miss this game against the Philadelphia Eagles and Kadarius Toney is active then Toney would move up to Shepard’s WR40 slot. Both Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton retain their value in this scenario.

If Shepard is active and Toney is inactive then the Giants receivers retain their values due to the difficult matchup against the Eagles.

WR52 Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns

Donovan Peoples-Jones has missed last week’s game against the Detriot Lions with a groin injury. If he is inactive then Rashard Higgins, Anthony Schwartz, or Ja’Marcus Bradley would step into his role on the offense. None of the previously mentioned would be recommended fantasy plays this week.

WR55 Curtis Samuel, Washington Football Team

Curtis Samuel is still dealing with a groin injury but could return this week against the Seattle Seahawks. But if he doesn’t return then DeAndre Carter moves up to WR51 between van Jefferson and Russell Gage.

WR61 Marquise Goodwin, Chicago Bears

Marquise Goodwin is filling in for Allen Robinson but is dealing with his own injury issues. He is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Detriot Lions with a shoulder issue. If Goodwin was to miss this game then Damiere Byrd would join the list at WR72 between Devin Duvernay and Gabriel Davis.

WR74 Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers

Allen Lazard missed last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a shoulder issue. If Lazard is not active then Marquez Valdes-Scantling moves up to WR59 between Laviska Shenault Jr. and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Randall Cobb would then move up to WR73 between Devin Duvernay and Gabriel Davis.
