Fantasy Football Players to Add Week 4

Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week, there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add in Week 4.

(Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)

1. Ollie Gordon, RB, Miami Dolphins

De’Von Achane left the game against the Chiefs early with an injury. He is expected to miss at least a decent amount of time. In his absence, Ollie Gordon took a lot of the work. He had 17 carries for 41 yards and one touchdown. Gordon also had three catches for 14 yards.

With Achane set to miss some time with a knee injury, Gordon should be the player to roster, as he has had the second most snaps at the position this year. He will battle with Jaylen Wright for carries, but Gordon should be the frontrunner. Gordon is rostered in just 1.1 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins

Wright missed the game against the Chiefs with a foot injury, so he was unable to see more work after Achane went down with an injury. Before Week 3, Wright had three carries for 10 yards and no receptions on the season.

His foot injury isn’t supposed to keep him out for too long and Wright could battle with Gordon for carries. With no clear path on who will end up being the go-to back, both Wright and Gordon can be added in the meantime to see how the backfield sorts out. Wright is rostered in just 1.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets

Breece Hall left the game against the Lions with a thigh injury. It happened late in the game, but Allen registered four carries for 14 yards. He added three catches for three yards. Before this week, he had 10 carries for 40 yards in Week 1.

If Allen does miss some time, Allen is a player to pick up and possibly start. It doesn’t seem that Hall’s thigh injury is too serious, but Allen should get a lot of work if Hall does miss time. Allen is rostered in just 14 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Jordyn Tyson, WR, New Orleans Saints

Tyson was the first-round pick for the Saints who has missed every game this season due to a hamstring injury. He is eligible to come off of IR in Week 5 and it looks like he could be available. The Saints lead the NFL in passing yards this season and Tyson could produce.

Adding Tyson and seeing how he does before starting him is a smart move. He is talented, even though he is often injured. If he can stay healthy, there is a path to production in New Orleans. He is currently rostered in 33.6 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Emmanuel Wilson, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson had nine rushes for 14 yards against the Commanders. Although this wasn’t as good of a performance as Week 2 against the Cardinals, he still got plenty of work out of the backfield. Jadarian Price was playing through a chest injury and fumbled, which led the Seahawks to utilize Wilson more.

The Seahawks have been playing Wilson, Price and George Holani a lot to start the season. Price was the first round pick who will likely continue to work into the lineup more as the season goes on, but Wilson could be productive for the next few weeks with Price dealing with his injury/fumble issues. Wilson is rostered in 34.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
