Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 3. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)
The Jaguars traded Tank Bigsby to the Eagles, which opened things up in the Jaguars’ backfield. While Travis Etienne is still the starter, there is more room for rookie Bayshul Tuten now. In week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Tuten had eight carries for 32 yards, but also added two receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Moving forward, Tuten’s role in the offense will likely increase. He has game-changing speed and receiving ability, which can really help this offense. Tuten can be added now and if his role progresses, he can be started down the line. He is rostered in just 40 percent of ESPN leagues.
The Broncos have had some offensive issues so far, but second-year wide receiver is starting to step up. After having four catches for 44 yards in week 1, he produced against the Colts in week 2 with eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for 11 yards.
There is still plenty of competition for targets in the Denver offense with Courtland Sutton and Evan Engram, but Franklin has a connection with Bo Nix that dates back to college. He can be added and if he keeps producing, he can be trusted in a starting lineup. Franklin is rostered in just two percent of ESPN leagues.
Boutte was on this list last week and is back on it, even after not having a great game. In week 1, he totaled six catches for 193 yards on eight targets. The week 2 game against Miami didn’t have a lot of production, as he had just one catch for 16 yards and one touchdown.
A lot of the passing went to running backs and tight ends in week 2, but that is something that will likely even out. He still shouldn’t be trusted to start in most leagues, but Boutte is worth adding to the end of the bench for now. Boutte is rostered in 26.5 percent of ESPN leagues.
Against the Rams in week 2, Ayomanor took a step forward. He registered four receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown on six targets. This is after a week 1 game against Denver in which he had two catches for 13 yards and seven targets.
The early growth and targets that Ayomanor is getting is encouraging. His talent outweighed him being drafted in the fourth round. While Calvin Ridley is also a player who deserves targets, Ayomanor can continue developing his rapport with fellow rookie Cam Ward. He is currently rostered in 7.7 percent of ESPN leagues.
Wan’Dale Robinson had a great season in 2024 and has continued that in 2025. In week 1, he had six catches for 55 yards on eight targets. He stepped up his game in week 2 against Dallas, hauling in eight passes for 142 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets.
The Giants’ offense benefited from playing a bad Cowboys’ defense in week two, but Russell Wilson really opened up the offense by targeting both Robinson and Malik Nabers downfield. Wilson may not be able to keep the offense rolling at this pace, but Robinson can be picked up and played in a pinch. He is rostered in just 29.9 percent of ESPN leagues.
