Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 18. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues.)
Corum continues to produce and isn’t being picked up at a high rate. He has four straight double-digit scoring games. In week 16, he had 14 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks. He still has a matchup tonight against the Rams before week 18.
Kyren Williams is still the lead back, but Corum is worth rostering. He is getting a decent amount of the workload and that trend seems like it is going to continue. In a week 18 game where the Rams may rest starters more than usual, Corum could get a lot of work. Corum is rostered in just 34.7 percent of ESPN leagues.
Croskey-Merritt has had some recent success for the Commanders, as they try to keep the ball on the ground. Against the Cowboys in week 17, he had 11 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
He will have a tougher matchup in week 18, but Croskey-Merritt found the end zone last time the Commanders played the Eagles. With the Eagles having no shot at the no. 1 seed, Croskey-Merritt could be going up against a defense that isn’t all the way bought into week 18. He is rostered in 48.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
The Saints have had plenty of running back injuries this season and have turned to Audric Estime. He received plenty of work against the Titans in week 17. Estime finished the game with 14 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown. He also had one catch for four yards.
Estime ran with his opportunity and will likely have another go at it in week 18. He will be going up against a Falcons’ defense that will be on a short week and can give up some yards. Estime is rostered in 10.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
Carter has been getting early-down carries for the Cardinals. In week 17, the Cardinals went down early to the Bengals and he wasn’t getting his regular work. He finished the game with seven carries for 29 yards and two catches for 14 yards.
With so many teams that may be resting starters, Carter can be picked up and possibly started in desperation. The Cardinals play the Rams in week 18, who may not have much to play for. Carter is rostered in 48.8 percent of ESPN leagues.
Burden returned from a leg injury in week 17 and produced against the San Francisco 49ers. He had eight catches for 138 yards and a touchdowns on Sunday Night Football.
With Rome Odunze out, Burden has mad the most of his opportunity. If the Bears are playing their starters in week 18, Burden could be a valuable pickup for week 18 against the Lions. He is rostered in 28 percent of ESPN leagues.
