Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 14. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)
Rodriguez continues to get a lot of work out of the Commanders’ backfield. After getting 15 carries against Miami before the bye week, Rodriguez had another solid game against the Broncos. He finished the game with 11 carries for 41 yards and one touchdown.
He is the lead running back for the Commanders and as long as they are in the game, he will continue to get work. When the Commanders have to pass a lot, he could lose some of his value. He has a touchdown in every game but one since week 9 and in the game he didn’t score, he rushed for 79 yards. Rodriguez is rostered in 12.4 percent of ESPN leagues.
The Saints have injuries to both Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller. Devin Neal got most of the work out of the backfield in their absence. In week 13 against the Dolphins, Neal had 14 carries for 47 yards. He also added three catches for 22 yards.
Miller is out for the season, while Kamara is expected to miss a little more time with an MCL sprain. Neal didn’t have to split the work out of the backfield, so he still has some value the next few weeks. He is currently rostered in 42.1 percent of ESPN leagues.
Blake Corum has continued to have a role in the Rams’ backfield. He has some games when he is effective with his carries and other games when he is not. Kyren Williams got banged up against the Panthers, but did return. Corum rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
Williams is still the main guy in the Rams’ backfield, but Corum is getting enough work to be rostered. He has at least seven carries in every game since week 7. While starting him likely shouldn’t happen, his status can be tracked down the stretch. He is currently rostered in 12.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
Raymond missed last week’s game against the Packers. During the game, Amon-Ra St. Brown was injured and is expected to miss at least one game. Jameson Williams is expected to get a lot of work, but another receiver will have to step up and that could be Raymond.
Out of the receivers other than St. Brown or Williams, Raymond has played the most snaps this season. Rookie Isaac TeSlaa will also see more work. If Raymond is injured, he could be the Lions receiver added this week, but it looks like Raymond could play this week. He is rostered in 0.2 percent of ESPN leagues.
Since being traded to the Jets before week 10, Mitchell has improved every week. In week 11, he had one catch for 10 yards, which was followed by a game against the Ravens when he had two catches for 42 yards. This week against the Falcons, he hauled in eight passes for 102 yards and one touchdown.
Tyrod Taylor relied on Mitchell heavily this past week, as he had 12 targets. He could be the focal point of the Jets’ passing attack down the stretch. Mitchell can be added for now and started if he continues proving himself with good performances. He is currently rostered in just 2.7 percent of ESPN leagues.
