Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 11.
(Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)
Pierce is WR33 on the season in standing-scoring leagues. He has been more than just a deep threat this season, as he has really developed this season. After having six catches for 115 yards in week 9 against the Steelers, Pierce delivered four catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in week 10 against the Falcons.
Daniel Jones seems to have trust in Pierce, especially as the season goes on. His last two weeks make him worth picking up, even as the Colts head into a bye. After that, he could be started based on the matchup. He is currently rostered in just 36.5 percent of ESPN leagues.
The Jaguars have some injury issues at the wide receiver position. Travis Hunter is on IR, while Brian Thomas missed the week 10 game against the Texans with an ankle injury. Parker Washington has stepped up over the last two weeks for the Jaguars. In week 9, he had eight catches for 90 yards. He followed that up with three catches for 33 yards and one touchdown.
The Jaguars did trade for Jakobi Meyers before the deadline, which will cut into Washington’s long-term value. So too will the return of Thomas and Hunter from injury. For the short term, Washington can be picked up for the time being and the situation can be monitored going forward. Washington is rostered in 16.9 percent of ESPN leagues.
Kyren Williams is still the main running back in Los Angeles, but Corum is getting a lot of work out of the backfield over the last three games. He had 12 carries in week 7, 13 in week 9 and then 13 again in week 10. In week 10 against the 49ers, he had 56 rushing yards.
While he hasn’t scored a ton of fantasy points this season, Corum should definitely be added by managers who roster Kyren Williams to ensure that all the work out of the Rams backfield is on one team. He should also be added by those who don’t have Williams, as he is going into more of a split backfield over the last several games. Corum is rostered in 38.2 percent of ESPN leagues.
Lockett wasn’t getting much run with the Titans and asked for his release. He then joined up with the Raiders. While he didn’t do much in his first game with the team, he did play well in week 10 against the Broncos. He finished the game with five catches on six targets for 44 yards, leading the team in receiving.
In Las Vegas, Lockett has familiarity with Pete Carroll and Geno Smith. He can play in the slot and be their most reliable receiver for the rest of the season. Picking him up is a risk, but if a manager has a spot at the end of the roster and wants to give Lockett a chance, he can be picked up to see if he can be more productive as things keep going. He is rostered in 1.9 percent of ESPN leagues.
Loveland has really started to emerge over the last two games. In week 9 against Cincinnati, he had six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner. Against the Giants in week 10, he had four catches for 55 yards, for another decent performance.
As he and Caleb Williams get more familiar with each other’s game, Loveland could be more dynamic down the stretch. For teams needing tight end, Loveland can be picked up and if he keeps having solid games, he can be trusted to start. He is currently rostered in 41.5 percent of ESPN leagues.
