Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 10. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)
Dameon Pierce was dealing with an ankle injury in week 9 and Singletary took over most of the workload in the Texans’ backfield. Mike Boone took third-down snaps, while Dare Ogbunwale was thrust into action as the kicker. Singletary didn’t have the greatest game with 13 carries for 26 yards. He also had two catches for no yards.
While his production wasn’t great, if Pierce is injured any longer, Singletary is worth picking up. It might be too early to start him unless a fantasy manager is desperate, but Singletary is rosterable. He can be picked up this week and the situation can be monitored. He is rostered in just 49.5 percent of ESPN leagues.
Michael Wilson didn’t play in the Cardinals’ week 9 game against the Browns. He has impressed this season so far with 25 catches for 401 yards and two touchdowns. With him getting more comfortable with the offense, Wilson could be more productive down the stretch.
The Cardinals will have Kyler Murray returning soon. With Murray back, Wilson’s production could really increase. If he is added now, he can be stashed before he starts producing more with Murray back. He is rostered in just seven percent of ESPN leagues.
With Kendrick Bourne getting injured, the Patriots needed a new wide receiver to step up. Douglas helped fill that role in week 9. Against the Commanders, he registered five catches for 55 yards on seven targets. He also had a rushing attempt.
His future production will likely not be consistently good, as the Patriots’ offense can’t sustain that. He can be added and put on the bench to be played situationally. If he turns into more that would be great, but he is still rosterable now. He is rostered in 21.9 percent of ESPN leagues.
Arizona has already activated the practice window for Kyler Murray. If he doesn’t return to action this week, he will likely return next week. After trading Josh Dobbs, they have made it clear that Murray will start the rest of the way.
With it being a light waiver week, add Murray now. Some IR spots may still be eligible to hold Murray with his injury designation. There are plenty of quarterback injuries this season, so Murray could be a valuable piece down the stretch. He is rostered in 35.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
When J.K. Dobbins went down with injury, the Ravens turned to a few running backs to fill the void. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill have both played well. In the Ravens’ week 9 blowout win of the Seahawks, a new running back emerged. Mitchell finished the game with nine carries for 138 yards and one touchdown. He also had one catch for -4 yards.
The undrafted rookie out of East Carolina had a good week. He is worth adding, but it may be a few weeks before the Ravens’ backfield really sorts itself out. If he builds on this, he could be worth starting down the road. He is available in 99 percent of ESPN leagues.
