Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 8

Publish Date: October 26, 2026

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week, owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream in Week 8.

(Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 55 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats are from before Monday Night Football)

1. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have a good fantasy defense this season, ranking seventh in the league at 8.0 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring game, which was against the Buccaneers in Week 1. They have no negative scoring games this year, but did score no points against the Steelers in Week 3.

This week, the Bengals match up with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans rank 31st in the league at 15.4 points per game. Although they have been scoring more over the last two weeks, the Bengals should still be able to have a great game. Dexter Lawrence can help shut down the run and make the Titans pass and possibly make mistakes. Cincinnati is rostered in just 16 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville is an average fantasy defense this season, ranking 17th in the league at 5.7 points per game. They have two double-digit scoring games, which were against the Browns and Patriots. Their lone negative scoring game came against the Texans in Week 6.

In Week 8, the Jaguars play the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars are coming off a bye and should be prepared to limit the Colts, especially with the Colts scoring just 17.3 points per game over the last three games. Things seem to be falling apart for the Colts and players may be traded soon too. The Jaguars can take advantage. They are rostered in just 27.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Washington Commanders

Washington has a subpar fantasy defense, as they score 3.8 points per game and rank 24th in the league. The Commanders have no double-digit scoring games this season, with their highest output being eight points against the Seahawks. They have one negative-scoring game, which was against the Cowboys.

The Week 8 game for the Commanders is against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jalen Hurts is now out for the season and the offense already wasn’t operating smoothly with him. Tanner McKee helped the Eagles put up 14 points in his one start against the Panthers. Washington is coming off a bye, while the Eagles will be on a short week, giving the Commanders the advantage. They are rostered in just 2.5 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas has a decent fantasy defense, ranking 18th in the league at 4.7 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Dolphins, Chargers and Saints in the first three weeks of the season. Their lone negative scoring game was against the Patriots in Week 5, a game in which they scored -6 points.

This week, the Raiders play the New York Jets. The Jets rank 27th in the league this season with 19.6 points per game. They have scored more than 20 points just three times this season. The Raiders have had a brutal schedule and maybe it lightening up can help them play like they did earlier in the season. They are rostered in just 5.0 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has a solid fantasy defense this season, ranking ninth at 6.3 points per game. Their two double-digit scoring games were against the Buccaneers and Bears in Weeks 4-5. They have one negative-scoring game, which was against the Falcons in Week 3.

In Week 8, the Packers play the Carolina Panthers. While the Panthers rank top five in points per game this season, they are coming off a terrible performance against the Bucs in which they turned the ball over four times and lost by 30 points. They still have talent, so the Packers are low on this list, but they could have a good game if the Panthers can’t right their wrongs.
