Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 16

Publish Date: December 15, 2025

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 16. (Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)

1. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have had a solid fantasy defense, ranking 10th at 6.7 points per game. They have four double-digit fantasy games this year, which were against the Jets, Panthers, Steelers and Bengals. Their lone negative scoring game was in week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.

This week, the Bills match up with the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are scoring just 16.1 points per game, which ranks near the bottom of the league. Buffalo will be locked in as they continue to fight for playoff positioning. They are rostered in just 43.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have a below-average fantasy defense this season, scoring 5.1 points per game and ranking 21st in the league. They have scored double-digit points three times this year, which were in games against the Giants, Raiders and Commanders. They have two negative-scoring outings, which came against the Cowboys and Bills.

In week 16, the Chiefs play the Tennessee Titans. The Titans score 16.1 points per game, which makes them one of the worst offenses in the league. While the Chiefs don’t have the motivation to play for the playoffs, they still have a good defense and can have a successful day. They are rostered in 30.3 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has an average fantasy defense, ranking 13th in the league at 6.1 points per game. They have scored double-digit points in two games this year, against the Bengals and Commanders. They have scored negative points twice as well, which were against the Chargers and Cowboys.

This week, the Vikings play the New York Giants.  The Giants score 21.4 points per game, but could struggle against Brian Flores’s defense, which can be effective against young quarterbacks like Jaxson Dart. The Vikings are rostered in just 38.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have a quality fantasy defense this season, ranking 11th in the league at 6.2 points per game. They have four double-digit performances this season, which were against the Vikings, Bills, Patriots and Saints. Atlanta has one negative-scoring game this year, coming against the Carolina Panthers.

This week, the Falcons play the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals score 21.6 points per game, but they haven’t scored more than 20 in their last three contests. Atlanta should be able to keep the game relatively low scoring and keep Jacoby Brissett in check. They are rostered in just 23.1 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans has had an average fantasy defense this season, scoring 6.0 points per game and ranking 15th in the league. They have three double-digit scoring games this season, which were against the Giants, Panthers and Falcons. The defense has two double-digit scoring games, which were against the Seahawks and Rams.

In week 16, the Saints play the New York Jets. The Jets score 19.7 points per game on the year. Due to injury, they are down to starting Brady Cook, who has thrown five interceptions in his two games played. The Saints can take advantage and have a good performance. They are rostered in 9.8 percent of ESPN leagues.
