Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 15

Publish Date: December 8, 2025

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 15. (Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have a good fantasy defense this season, ranking seventh in the league at 7.8 points per game. They have six double-digit scoring performances, which were against the Panthers, Texans, 49ers, Chargers, Titans and Colts. Jacksonville has one negative-scoring game, which came at the hands of the Rams.

In week 15, the Jaguars are playing the New York Jets. The Jets are scoring just 19.7 points per game this season, ranking 25th in the league. Justin Fields was out for week 14 and Tyrod Taylor started, but left with an injury. Brady Cook saw his first NFL action at quarterback and threw two interceptions. The Jaguars can force turnovers and have a good fantasy week. They are rostered in 41.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have had a bad fantasy defense this season, ranking 26th in the league at 3.8 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games with two coming in the last games they have played. Those double-digit scoring games were against the Seahawks, Panthers and Browns. They have three negative-scoring games, which were against the Buccaneers, Texans and Rams.

San Francisco plays the Tennessee Titans this week. Not only are the 49ers coming off a bye week with extra time to prepare for this game, the Titans score just 15.5 points per game this season. The 49ers are banged up, but should be able to put up a solid performance in this game. They are rostered in 22.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Chicago Bears

Chicago has a subpar fantasy defense, scoring 5.3 points per game and ranking 21st in the league. They have two double-digit scoring games, which were against the Vikings and Saints. They have one negative scoring games, which was a -11 point game against the Lions in week 2.

This week, the Bears are playing the Cleveland Browns. While the Browns have had more life come into the offense lately, the Browns are scoring just 17.2 points per game this season, which ranks 29th in the league. Chicago’s defense has been leaky at times, but if they can control the line of scrimmage on offense, they should be able to win handily and the defense will play better as a result. They are rostered in 13.4 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers have a decent fantasy defense, ranking 17th in the league at 5.8 points per game. Tampa Bay has two double-digit scoring games this season, which were against the Jets and Saints. They also have two double-digit scoring outings: at Seattle and vs. New England.

In week 15, the Buccaneers play the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta scores 19.4 points per game this season and are without starting quarterback Michael Penix. They may also still be without Drake London at wide receiver, which limits the offense. Tampa Bay needs to rev things up to qualify for the playoffs and can play solidly this week. They are rostered in 48.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Carolina Panthers

Carolina has a below-average fantasy defense, ranking 20th in the league at 5.5 points per game. The Panthers have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Falcons, Jets and Rams. They have two negative-scoring performances, which were to the Patriots and the Bills.

The Panthers are coming off a bye to play the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans is scoring just 15.8 points per game this season, ranking 30th in the league. Tyler Shough is still a rookie making mistakes for the Saints and coming off the bye, the Panthers can cause problems for him. The Panthers are rostered in 3.9 percent of ESPN leagues.   Make sure to check out our fantasy football page for more articles like Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 15!
