Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 15

Publish Date: December 9, 2024

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 15. (Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have a fantasy defense that ranks 26th at 4.1 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring game, which was against the Bills in week 4. Their two negative-scoring games both came against the Cincinnati Bengals.

This week, the Ravens match up with the New York Giants. The Giants are scoring a league-low 14.9 points per game. In week 14, they scored just 11 points. Baltimore is coming off a bye and can have a big game against whoever the Giants start at quarterback. They are rostered in 48 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. New York Jets

The Jets have a solid fantasy defense this season, ranking 13th at 5.6 percent of ESPN leagues. They have five double-digit scoring games this season, which were against the Seahawks, Texans, Vikings, Patriots and Titans. New York has been a little erratic, as they have four negative-scoring games as well. These were against the 49ers, Steelers, Cardinals and Dolphins.

In week 15, the Jets play the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars score just 18.3 points per games. With Trevor Lawrence out, Mac Jones is starting for the Jags. In the three games he has stared, the Jaguars have scored one touchdown. New York can lock in and have a big performance this week. They are rostered in 42.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have one of the worst fantasy defenses in the league, ranking 29th at 3.1 points per game. They have two double-digit scoring games: against the Saints and the Chargers. Their three negative scoring games were against the Saints, Broncos and Vikings.

This week the Falcons play the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders score just 18.2 points per game this season. Quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell are out for the season, putting Desmond Ridder in line to start the rest of the season Atlanta can have one of their better games of the season against the Raiders. They are rostered in 8.8 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas has the 19th-ranked fantasy defense that scores 5.3 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Browns, Commanders and Giants. Two of those three were in the last three weeks. The Cowboys have four negative-scoring outings, which were against the Saints, Ravens, Lions and 49ers.

In week 15, the Cowboys play the Carolina Panthers. Carolina scores just 17.9 points per game. Their offense has been better since Bryce Young was inserted back into the starting lineup, but the Cowboys’ defense will present a challenge, as they have had two straight good games. They are rostered in 32.1 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have been bad on defense this season, ranking 30th at 3.1 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Chiefs, Browns and Raiders. The Bengals have four negative-scoring games, coming to the Commanders, Ravens (twice) and Eagles.

This week the Bengals play the Tennessee Titans. The Titans score just 17.5 points per game. They failed to score a touchdown against the Jaguars in week 14. Will Levis has thrown nine interceptions in 10 games played, so the Bengals could benefit from some turnovers. They are rostered in 27.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
