Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 13

Publish Date: November 24, 2025

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 13.

(Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)

1. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have a solid fantasy football defense this year, ranking 14th at 6.2 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring performances this season, which were against the Raiders, Vikings and Steelers. The defense has two negative-scoring games, which were against the Colts and Jaguars.

In week 13, the Chargers are playing the Raiders, a team they have already scored double-digit points against. The Raiders score just 15 points per game, which is one of the worst in the league, and they have scored more than 20 points just once in the last five games. The Chargers are coming off a bye, which should make them more prepared for this game. They are rostered in 29.3 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has a bad fantasy defense this season, ranking 29th at 2.5 points per game. Their one double-digit scoring game was in week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. They have three negative-scoring games, which were against the Buccaneers, Texans and Rams.

This week, the 49ers play the Cleveland Browns. The Browns score just 16.9 points per game this season. While Shedeur Sanders played well in his first start, it was against the Raiders and he is still a rookie. Robert Saleh’s defense, despite being injured, should be able to put up a solid performance. They are rostered in just 20.6 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins don’t have a quality fantasy defense, ranking 26th at 4.0 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring performance, which was an 11-point game against the Bills. Miami has two negative scoring games, which were against the Colts and Chargers.

The matchup for the Dolphins this week is the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans scores 15.0 points per game, which is tied for 31st in the league. The Saints are starting rookie Tyler Shough at quarterback, who hasn’t been great. On top of that, both Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller are hurt at running back. Miami is coming off a bye, giving them an advantage. They are rostered in 2.3 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have an average fantasy defense, ranking 17th in the league at 5.8 points per game. They have double-digit scoring games this season, which were against the Jets and Panthers. Buffalo has one negative-scoring game, which was against the Ravens in week 1, when they put up -2 points.

This week, the Bills play the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are scoring a decent amount of points this season at 25.9 points per game. Aaron Rodgers missed the game against the Bears and could miss this game as well, which could limit the offense. The Steelers have taken advantage when they play really bad defenses. Buffalo can provide a different challenge, especially after having extra time to prepare following their Thursday Night Football game. They are rostered in 48 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay has a below-average fantasy defense, ranking 19th in the league at 5.6 points per game. They have two double-digit scoring games, which were against the Jets and the Saints. The Bucs have two negative-scoring games, which were against the Patriots and Seahawks.

In week 13, the Buccaneers play the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals score 22.5 points per game, but they have been better with Jacoby Brissett playing quarterback. The Bucs have played a tough schedule, though and Todd Bowles should have the defense ready for this game. They can be started in desperation this week. Tampa Bay is rostered in 19.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
