One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 11.
(Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)
The Chiefs have a solid fantasy defense this season, as they rank 13th in the league at 6.4 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Giants, Raiders and Commanders. Their lone negative-scoring game this season was in week 9 against the Bills.
In week 11, the Chiefs are going up against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are scoring just 23.5 points per game and the offense is disjointed. They scored just 10 points against the Raiders in week 10 and now have to face the Chiefs on the road. With the Chiefs coming off a bye, they have the clear advantage. They are rostered in just 26.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
Atlanta has a good fantasy defense, ranking 10th in the league at 7.0 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Vikings, Bills and Patriots. They have no negative scoring outings this season, with their lowest output being against the Dolphins when they scored no points.
The Falcons have a division matchup against the Panthers in week 11. Carolina has had some success this season, but the offense hasn’t been great lately. They have scored 11.3 points per game over their last four games. Atlanta can take advantage, even after returning home from their week 10 game in Germany. The Falcons are rostered in 21.1 percent of ESPN leagues.
The Chargers have a top-10 fantasy defense in the league, ranking ninth at 6.9 points per game. Los Angeles has three double-digit scoring games, which were against the Raiders, Vikings and Steelers. They have one negative scoring output, which was against the Colts in week 7 when they put up -5 points.
In week 7, the Chargers match up with the Jaguars. The Jaguars are dealing with wide receiver injuries, as Travis Hunter is on IR and Brian Thomas missed week 10 with an ankle injury. Jacksonville has scored some points, but going up the Chargers could make things a bit tougher. The Chargers are rostered in 47.4 percent of ESPN leagues.
Minnesota has an above-average fantasy defense, ranking 13th in the league at 6.4 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring game, which was against Cincinnati in week 3 when they put up 32 points. They have one negative scoring performance, which was against the Chargers in week 8 when they scored -2.
The Vikings play the Chicago Bears in week 11. Chicago has been great on offense this season, but Caleb Williams is still a young quarterback and the Brian Flores could create some problems for him. The Vikings should only be played in desperation, as they are a lottery ticket in this situation. They are rostered in 46.2 percent of ESPN leagues.
The 49ers have had a bad fantasy defense this season, ranking 27th in the league at 2.7 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring game this season, which was week 1 against the Seahawks. They have three negative-scoring games, which were against the Bucs, Texans and Rams.
This week, the 49ers play the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are scoring 22.4 points per game, but the offense seems to be taking steps forward with Jacoby Brissett at the helm. San Francisco has a lot of injuries, but they could use their knowledge of a divisional foe to their advantage. They should only be started in desperation though. The 49ers are rostered in just 13.1 percent of ESPN leagues.
