2023 Fantasy Football Draft Results

Publish Date: August 21, 2023

Fantasy football season is here. Every year millions of people play fantasy and with that comes the prep work to make sure that every draft is one that can produce a champion. This article will go through what happened in a real draft for a standard-scoring league of 10 teams and analyze the results of a standard-scoring league. Here are 2023 fantasy football draft results.

Team number one had the first pick, pick number 20, 21, etc. The teams following this one will follow the draft order.

Team 1

Roster: QB Geno Smith, RB Travis Etienne Jr., RB Jahmyr Gibbs, WR Ja’Marr Chase, WR Jaylen Waddle, TE T.J. Hockenson, RB Alexander Mattison, Bills D/ST, K Younghoe Koo, WR Drake London, RB A.J. Dillon, WR George Pickens, RB Zach Charbonnet, QB Dak Prescott, WR Tank Dell, RB Kenneth Gainwell

Team 1 has good value at the running back and wide receiver positions. The quarterback position could be a pain point if Geno Smith doesn’t play like he did last season and if Dak Prescott doesn’t cut down the interceptions.

Team 2

Roster: QB Jalen Hurts, RB Austin Ekeler, RB Jonathan Taylor, WR Deebo Samuel, WR Jerry Jeudy, TE Cole Kmet, WR Amari Cooper, Cowboys D/ST, K Evan McPherson, RB James Cook, RB Dalvin Cook, WR Brandin Cooks, WR Odell Beckham Jr., QB Kirk Cousins, WR Adam Thielen, TE Tyler Higbee

Team 2 is fully dependent on Jonathan Taylor ending his holdout and returning to the Colts. Otherwise, this team may not have the running back production or wide receiver production to compete. If Taylor does play, Team 2 can compete.

Team 3

Roster: QB Lamar Jackson, RB Rhamondre Stevenson, RB Cam Akers, WR Justin Jefferson, WR Garrett Wilson, TE Kyle Pitts, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Ravens D/ST, K Tyler Bass, RB David Montgomery, WR Christian Kirk, RB Rashaad Penny, WR Michael Thomas, RB Damien Harris, QB Anthony Richardson, WR Van Jefferson

Team 3 has good wide receivers, but some issues at running back. Stevenson did well for the Patriots last season, but he still could split carries more this season as the team usually does. Akers is a running back that the Rams haven’t trusted in the past and Montgomery, Penny and Harris are in split backfields. This team will be hoping Lamar Jackson and the insane wide receiver talent can carry them to victory.

Team 4

Roster: QB Joe Burrow, RB Derrick Henry, RB Miles Sanders, WR CeeDee Lamb, WR DK Metcalf, TE Evan Engram, RB Rachaad White, Dolphins D/ST, K Ka’imi Fairbairn, WR DeAndre Hopkins, WR Tyler Lockett, WR Jahan Dotson, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, RB Elijah Mitchell, RB Antonio Gibson, WR Tyler Boyd

Running back depth could be an issue for Team 4. Derrick Henry, Miles Sanders and Rachaad White are all talented and worthy of their selections, but an injury to one could totally derail this team. Team 4 is solid at the other positions, but have to stay healthy at running back to compete.

Team 5

Roster: QB Patrick Mahomes, RB Josh Jacobs, RB James Conner, WR DeVonta Smith, WR Keenan Allen, TE Travis Kelce, RB Javonte Williams, Steelers D/ST, K Jake Elliott, WR Diontae Johnson, WR Skyy Moore, TE Pat Freiermuth, WR Jordan Addison, WR Quentin Johnston, RB Gus Edwards, RB Tyler Allgeier

Team 5 took two tight ends relatively early and a quarterback early as well. That means that they’re going to need players at the running back and wide receiver positions to outperform their draft slot. It can happen, but they also lack great depth.

Team 6

Roster: QB Russell Wilson, RB Christian McCaffrey, RB Saquon Barkley, WR Chris Olave, WR Calvin Ridley, TE Dallas Goedert, RB Isiah Pacheco, Saints D/ST, K Justin Tucker, WR DJ Moore, QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Marquise Brown, WR Zay Flowers, RB Raheem Mostert, TE Dalton Kincaid, WR Hunter Renfrow

Team 6 has great running backs, but might need more help at the wide receiver and quarterback positions. Depth at running back could also be an issue with only four on the roster.

Team 7

Roster: QB Justin Fields, RB Bijan Robinson, RB Najee Harris, WR Stefon Diggs, WR Terry McLaurin, TE Mark Andrews, WR Chris Godwin, Panthers D/ST, K Daniel Carlson, RB J.K. Dobbins, WR Michael Pittman, RB Samaje Perine, WR Darnell Mooney, RB Jerick McKinnon, QB Deshaun Watson, WR Jakobi Meyers

Team 7 is very well-built. Fields will get rushing and passing yards to be one of the best quarterbacks. Bijan Robinson and Stefon Diggs can be top 10 or top five at their positions. Same with Mark Andrews. The depth of this team should help them to compete.

Team 8

Roster: QB Justin Herbert, RB Nick Chubb, RB Dameon Pierce, WR A.J. Brown, WR Tee Higgins, TE David Njoku, WR Christian Watson, Jets D/ST, K Harrison Butker, RB Breece Hall, WR Brandon Aiyuk, RB D’Andre Swift, WR Jaxson Smith-Njigba, RB Jaylen Warren, RB Ezekiel Elliott, WR Kadarius Toney

Team 8 has two good running backs and wide receivers, making their starting lineup pretty stacked. They will have to rotate the slot spot based on matchups and health of players. A lot of emphasis is being put on Justin Herbert with this team, but he should be able to do enough to keep the team competitive.

Team 9

Roster: QB Josh Allen, RB Tony Pollard, RB Kenneth Walker, WR Cooper Kupp, WR Mike Williams, TE George Kittle, RB Khalil Herbert, 49ers D/ST, K Greg Zuerlein, RB Brian Robinson, WR Gabe Davis, RB Jamaal Williams, TE Dalton Schultz, WR Elijah Moore, WR DJ Chark, QB Daniel Jones

Team 9 will need Cooper Kupp to return to form that he had before his injury last season. If he does, this team can be great, especially with the talent this team has at running back.

Team 10

Roster: QB Trevor Lawrence, RB Joe Mixon, RB Aaron Jones, WR Tyreek Hill, WR Davante Adams, TE Darren Waller, WR Mike Evans, Bengals D/ST, K Jason Myers, RB Alvin Kamara, RB Jeff Wilson, WR Courtland Sutton, RB Devin Singletary, QB Tua Tagovailoa, WR Treylon Burks, RB Deuce Vaughn

Team 10 has good wide receivers and running backs, along with Darren Waller. The depth of the team is great, especially once Alvin Kamara gets back from suspension. This team will need Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa to step up at the quarterback position.
