Fantasy football season is here. Every year millions of people play fantasy and with that comes the prep work to make sure that every draft is one that can produce a champion. This article will go through what happened in a real draft for a standard league of 10 teams and analyze the results of a standard-scoring league. Here are 2022 fantasy football draft results.
Team number one had the first pick, pick number 20, 21, etc. The teams following this one will follow the draft order.
Team 1
Team number one had the first pick, pick number 20, 21, etc. The teams following this one will follow the draft order.
Roster: QB Trey Lance, RB Jonathan Taylor, RB J.K.Dobbins, WR Mike Evans, WR Brandin Cooks, TE Travis Kelce, WR Darnell Mooney, D/ST 49ers, K Harrison Butker, WR Allen Robinson, RB Cordarrelle Patterson, RB Rhamondre Stevenson, RB Dameon Pierce, QB Kirk Cousins, WR Michael Gallup
Full disclosure: The owner of Team 1 did not like their draft, but there are some things to be excited about with this team. If Trey Lance can produce both with his arm and his legs, the team is set up well. Jonathan Taylor is the safest pick in fantasy football this year and should produce. The health of J.K. Dobbins and the production at the WR2 spot are going to be the things to watch for this team. The risk is great for this team, but it could payoff if those things work out.
Team 2
Roster: QB Lamar Jackson, RB Derrick Henry, RB Aaron Jones, WR Tyreek Hill, WR DJ Moore, TE George Kittle, RB Breece Hall, D/ST Dolphins, K Daniel Carlson, RB Rashaad Penny, WR Elijah Moore, RB James Robinson, WR Robert Woods, WR Kadarius Toney, RB Isiah Pacheco, RB Tyler Allgeier
Team 2 has a good starting lineup, but the depth is pretty suspect. Health is a big factor for every team, but especially this one after Derrick Henry was injured last season. There are plenty of late-round flyers and some high upside, but depth could really hurt this team if free agent acquisitions aren’t made. If this team is healthy, they can make the playoffs, but that is a huge question mark.
Team 3
Roster: QB Justin Herbert, RB Christian McCaffrey, RB Leonard Fournette, WR Tee Higgins, WR Terry McLaurin, TE T.J. Hockenson, WR Diontae Johnson, D/ST Saints, K Chris Boswell, RB Miles Sanders, WR Allen Lazard, WR Drake London, RB Melvin Gordon, RB Raheem Mostert, WR Tyler Boyd, TE Zach Ertz
Christian McCaffrey has plenty of potential this year, but as always, he needs to stay on the field. The team is set at running back and just needs their wide receivers to step up. This team should fight for a playoff spot.
Team 4
Roster: QB Josh Allen, RB Dalvin Cook, RB D’Andre Swift, WR CeeDee Lamb, WR Marquise Brown, TE Kyle Pitts, WR Michael Thomas, D/ST Rams, K Nick Folk, RB Tony Pollard, WR Rashod Bateman, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, TE Mike Gesicki, WR Garrett Wilson, WR DJ Chark, RB Khalil Herbert
Team 4 gets the designation of a unicorn team. Not only did the manager get Josh Allen, he also got a premium tight end in Kyle Pitts. The running back situation looks good from a starter perspective, but the depth could be an issue. Wide receiver is the flipside of that. Michael Thomas’s health and Marquise Brown’s role with the Cardinals are things to watch for this team. The well-constructed offensive lineup gives them a chance.
Team 5
Roster: QB Russell Wilson, RB Joe Mixon, RB Travis Etienne, WR Davante Adams, WR Mike Williams, TE Mark Andrews, RB A.J. Dillon, D/ST Colts, K Brandon McManus, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, RB Kareem Hunt, QB Jalen Hurts, WR Christian Kirk, RB Brian Robinson, WR Romeo Doubs, WR Skyy Moore
The starting quarterback for this team may actually currently reside on the bench. This team has the best flyers out of anyone with Robinson, Doubs and Moore. Mike Williams’s streakiness could be frustrating, while a clear no. 2 running back needs to step up for this team, whether that is Etienne off the injury or Dillon getting enough work in Green Bay.
Team 6
Roster: QB Joe Burrow, RB Austin Ekeler, RB Javonte Williams, WR Deebo Samuel, WR DK Metcalf, TE Dallas Goedert, RB Ezekiel Elliott, D/ST Packers, K Matt Gay, WR Gabriel Davis, WR Chris Godwin, WR Tyler Lockett, QB Tom Brady, WR Kenny Golladay, RB Alexander Mattison, WR Marvin Jones Jr.
Although this team needs to add one more running back, the depth is still solid in the top three on the roster. Metcalf is a huge question mark with a new quarterback, but if he doesn’t pan out others may be able to. If Elliott gets back to form, this team can be dangerous.
Team 7
Roster: QB Kyler Murray, RB Cam Akers, RB Saquon Barkley, WR Cooper Kupp, WR Michael Pittman Jr., TE Darren Waller, RB Devin Singletary, D/ST Ravens, K Tyler Bass, WR Hunter Renfrow, WR Chase Claypool, RB Chase Edmonds, WR Jakobi Myers, RB Michael Carter, QB Derek Carter, RB JD McKissic
This team does not care about injuries and is going for gold. With Cam Akers and Saquon Barkley, there are two players who were injured last year in the starting lineup. After that point, there are huge question marks at the running back position. This team will struggle not only if one of the top two running backs goes down, but also if there is a double xp weekend on Call of Duty for Kyler Murray. The latter part of that was a joke.
Team 8
Roster: QB Dak Prescott, RB Najee Harris, RB Josh Jacobs, WR Stefon Diggs, WR Keenan Allen, TE Dawson Knox, WR Jerry Jeudy, D/ST Bills, K Kai’imi Fairbairn, WR Adam Thielen, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, RB James Cook, RB Marlon Mack, WR Treylon Burks, RB Darrell Henderson Jr.
Team 8 is strongest at wide receiver with Diggs and Allen as a good one-two punch. After that there are enough players who can provide depth for this team. The starting running backs should be fine, but this manager really needs Edwards-Helaire to step up. If Prescott is healthy, he has shown he is able to put up quality fantasy performances.
Team 9
Roster: QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Alvin Kamara, RB Elijah Mitchell, WR Ja’Marr Chase, WR A.J. Brown, TE Dalton Schultz, RB David Montgomery, D/ST Cowboys, K Evan McPherson, WR Jaylen Waddle, RB Damien Harris, WR Brandon Aiyuk, WR Chris Olave, TE Hunter Henry, QB Jameis Winston, RB Rachaad White
This is a very well-built team from top to bottom. With three quality running backs and two or three startable wide receivers, team 9 has a real shot this season. That is especially true because Alvin Kamara is not likely to be suspended.
Team 10
Roster: QB Patrick Mahomes, RB Nick Chubb, RB James Conner, WR Justin Jefferson, WR Courtland Sutton, TE Pat Freiermuth, RB Antonio Gibson, D/ST Buccaneers, K Justin Tucker, WR Amari Cooper, WR DeVonta Smith, WR DeAndre Hopkins, RB Ken Walker III, WR George Pickens, QB Matthew Stafford, RB Jamaal Williams
Like some other teams, the question marks for this team are at running back. Conner is fully capable of having a other solid season, but it may be tough to match his 2021 production. Gibson has been benched early in the preseason in favor of Brian Robinson and J.D. McKissic. He may work his way back into the lineup. After that Walker will need to recover from a hernia issue.
